Find job candidates for a role, with the evidence
The xAI docs show a bot that builds a shortlist of candidates for a role, skips anyone already in your applicant tracking system, and drafts outreach for your approval. The official Talent Discovery template does this search. From xAI: the enterprise post adds a recruiting helper that texts candidates good luck before interviews and submits scorecards from that day's recorded calls. Texting candidates needs a messaging tool and their consent.

The problem
Small teams can't always pay a recruiter, and finding candidates by hand takes hours.
How the bot does it
From the official docs:
- The xAI docs give an example where a bot finds 20 potential candidates who meet a role's must-have criteria and leaves out anyone already in your applicant tracking system.
- The docs say to add an approval step before any outreach and to respect candidate privacy and each source's terms. The bot shouldn't contact anyone itself.
- The official Talent Discovery template in the Grok Bot marketplace runs this kind of search.
Setup steps
- 1Paste the role description and list the must-have criteria.
- 2Give the bot a way to check your applicant tracking system so it skips people already in it.
- 3Ask for a shortlist with a link and a reason for each person.
- 4Tell it: contact no one. Any outreach is Draft, I send.
Example prompt
For this role description, find 20 candidates who meet the must-have criteria. Skip anyone already in our applicant tracking system. For each person, link the evidence and say why they fit. Draft outreach, but contact no one: Draft, I send.
The result
A shortlist with evidence for each candidate and outreach drafts you review. You decide who to contact.

Turn support tickets into product-feedback themes
xAI's support post describes a bot that reads product feedback in support tickets each day and turns it into clear themes for engineering.
Each day, read yesterday's support tickets, pull out product feedback, and group it into themes with ticket counts and two example quotes each. Send it to me. Contact no customers. Change nothing.

Cut supply and software costs with a procurement bot
xAI's procurement post describes Haggle Bot, which shops a recurring supply order across several stores, builds a quantity sheet you can edit, tracks down who owns each tool, and drafts negotiations for your approval. Haggle Bot is an official template in the marketplace.
Shop this week's supply order across [stores]. If you can't find the same item for less, suggest an equivalent from another brand. Put the comparisons in a sheet for me to review. Stop and ask me before paying or placing any order. Any message to a vendor: Draft, I send.

A stand-in for meetings you can't make
xAI lists a meeting stand-in among jobs bots are doing today: it joins a meeting you can't make, tells the room it's there for you, takes detailed notes, and sends you a summary.
Join [meeting] for me, tell the room you're there on my behalf and taking notes, and send me a summary with decisions and action items afterward. Don't agree to anything or speak for me beyond that. Draft, I send for any follow-up.
