Cut supply and software costs with a procurement bot
xAI's procurement post describes Haggle Bot, which shops a recurring supply order across several stores, builds a quantity sheet you can edit, tracks down who owns each tool, and drafts negotiations for your approval. Haggle Bot is an official template in the marketplace.

The problem
Recurring orders and software renewals are easy to repeat without checking prices, quantities, or who still needs the tool.
How the bot does it
From xAI:
- In xAI's procurement post, Haggle Bot shops a weekly supply order across Amazon, Costco, Uline, and Walmart. If it can't find the same product for less, it looks for an equivalent from another brand and collects the comparisons in a sheet for review.
- It also builds an editable Google Sheet where office staff change the number of incoming hires and see the quantities needed for each new-hire kit. It used seat maps, usage rates, and past carts to do it.
- To find out who owned a tool, it started with the owners listed in Ramp, messaged them, and followed each handoff until it reached people who could decide. That needs the bot to be allowed to message colleagues.
- For a software renewal, it worked out the negotiation and drafted the response. The team set the minimum quantities, edited the draft, and approved the send. xAI says it still revises the bot's emails to get the tone right.
- SpaceXSI says one run brought a $14,629 tech order down to $6,143. That's SpaceXSI's own figure for one run, and its post is the only source.
In SpaceXSI's setup, a separate bot placed the order. Keep every purchase behind your approval.
Setup steps
- 1Install the official Haggle Bot template, or describe the job to your own bot.
- 2Connect where your spend, past orders, and usage data live.
- 3Ask for comparisons in a sheet, with equivalent brands marked.
- 4Tell it: Stop and ask me before paying or placing any order. Any vendor email is Draft, I send.
Example prompt
Shop this week's supply order across [stores]. If you can't find the same item for less, suggest an equivalent from another brand. Put the comparisons in a sheet for me to review. Stop and ask me before paying or placing any order. Any message to a vendor: Draft, I send.
The result
A price comparison sheet and draft vendor replies to review. Savings depend on your orders; the figures above are SpaceXSI's own.

Turn support tickets into product-feedback themes
xAI's support post describes a bot that reads product feedback in support tickets each day and turns it into clear themes for engineering.
Each day, read yesterday's support tickets, pull out product feedback, and group it into themes with ticket counts and two example quotes each. Send it to me. Contact no customers. Change nothing.

A stand-in for meetings you can't make
xAI lists a meeting stand-in among jobs bots are doing today: it joins a meeting you can't make, tells the room it's there for you, takes detailed notes, and sends you a summary.
Join [meeting] for me, tell the room you're there on my behalf and taking notes, and send me a summary with decisions and action items afterward. Don't agree to anything or speak for me beyond that. Draft, I send for any follow-up.

An office manager for a trades or home-service shop
xAI describes an office manager bot that takes in work orders, plans capacity, and books jobs across email, chat, field-service software, and client portals, so the owner doesn't have to live in six tools.
Each morning, collect new work orders from [email, portal], check crew capacity in [field-service tool], and propose a schedule. Book only the jobs I approve. Any message to a customer: Draft, I send.
