Homework help that gives hints, not answers
Users report bots that walk a child through homework at their grade level. Tell the bot to give hints first so it doesn't hand over the answer.

The problem
Homework help at night is hard when you don't remember the material, and a plain chatbot often just gives the answer.
How the bot does it
Users report:
- @Jasonturcotte made a Tutor template: you tell it your child's grade and it helps with the subjects they need.
- @jay_notfunny uses a bot for homework prep and points out it's hard to stop AI from just giving the answer. Telling it to give hints first helps.
Setup steps
- 1Tell it your child's grade and the subject.
- 2Tell it to give hints and ask questions before showing any answer.
- 3Ask for a short note to you on what your child found hard.
- 4Keep an adult in the loop; it isn't a substitute for a teacher.
Example prompt
My child is in grade [x] and needs help with [subject]. Walk them through each problem with hints and questions, and don't give the final answer until they've tried. Send me a short note on what they found hard. Change nothing.
The result
Step-by-step help at your child's level and a short note for you. These are users' own accounts.
Results are the user's own claim. We haven't checked them.
