The problem
Moving a photo, receipt, or link from your phone into a chat takes several steps.
How the bot does it
From the official docs:
- On iPhone, open the share sheet in any app and choose Grok Bot to send a photo, file, link, or text into a chat.
- On Android, the share sheet currently accepts text only, per the docs.
Setup steps
- 1Install the Grok Bot app on your iPhone and sign in.
- 2In any app, tap Share and choose Grok Bot.
- 3Pick the chat or bot and add a short note on what you want.
- 4For anything that sends or pays, tell it: Stop and ask me before paying. Draft, I send.
Example prompt
I'm sharing this [receipt, article, or photo] from my phone. Tell me what it is and what you'd do with it, then wait for my OK. Change nothing.
The result
Photos, files, and links land in your bot's chat in a couple of taps. Android shares text only for now.
