Looks through your health and billing portals for balances you don't know about.

Log in to [patient portals and billing sites] (hand me the computer for logins) and list every open balance, its date, and whether it was billed to insurance. Flag anything that looks like it went to collections. Don't pay or agree to a payment plan; just give me the list and the next step for each. Stop and ask me if anything is unclear.
